President Michael D. Higgins announced an initiative for nationwide debate in 2014 to stimulate greater awareness of Ethics. The initiative will involve over 50 events. These will include academic workshops and public lectures. The intention is to start with events in third level colleges , and then to spread out the debate into the wider society.
